2026 Artists
12:00 noon
The Boogie Bumpers
Step back in time and enter the vibrant era of swing and jive with The Boogie Bumpers. This exhilarating seven-piece jazz & swing band hailing from the South of England is renowned for their infectious energy and authentic recreation of the golden decades of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. With a repertoire combining an eclectic mix of jump blues and swing, drawing inspiration from the legendary sounds of Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, and Frank Sinatra, The Boogie Bumpers guarantee an unforgettable musical experience, leaving guests dancing and swaying all night long.
1.20pm
JR’s Gunslingers
JR’s Gunslingers are an emerging jazz-funk and Latin-fusion band based in the Bournemouth/Poole area. Led by drummer Josh Rose, the young quartet features Keanu Ienco (guitar), Mark Cowley (saxophone), and Joe Limburn (bass). They are known for wild improvisations covering artists like Charles Mingus and Pat Metheny.
2.40pm
Thokozile
The Thokozile collective founded in 2010 on the back of a musicians’ exchange with South Africa. They play melodic, vibrant jazz and afrobeat with a distinct global sound, combining influences from the south and west of Africa with the melting pot that is London. They have a new album on the way and maybe it’ll be Quomps-ready!
4:00pm
The Maddie Martin Quartet
The Maddie Martin Quartet is a rising London-based jazz ensemble known for blending classic jazz traditions with a fresh, contemporary perspective. The four core members met while studying at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music and graduated together in July 2025. The group is fronted by vocalist Maddie Martin, alongside pianist Columbus Sandor, bassist Guy Dempsey and drummer Kai MacRae. They will be joined at Stompin’ by trumpeter Josh Short.
Maddie is highly regarded for her distinctive, “old soul” vocal tone and a strong gift for lyrical storytelling. The band’s repertoire bridges swinging jazz standards, selections from the Great American Songbook, and touches of 70s soul.
5.20pm
Zoë Schwarz +
Blue Commotion
We’re delighted to bring Stompin’ favourite Zoë Schwarz back to the Quomps with her hard hitting Blue Commotion band for another session of their inimitable Blue-Rock with Jazz overtones. Zoë’s dynamic and commanding vocal delivery is complimented by the unmistakable touch and flow of Rob Koral (guitar) and the highly accomplished rhythm section of Pete Whittaker (Hammond organ) and Eddie John (drums).
6:40pm
Trypl
TRYPL is an acclaimed UK-based jazz and Latin music band founded by three master horn players: trombonist Trevor Mires, trumpeter Ryan Quigley and saxophonist Paul Booth. The name is a clever acronym of their first names (TrevorRYanPauL). They are highly regarded in the scene and specialise in upbeat Latin jazz and 1970s New York-style salsa.
The trio has an impressive pedigree, having individually toured and recorded with massive acts like Jamiroquai, Quincy Jones, Incognito, and Alicia Keys. The band released their self-titled debut album TRYPL in 2020 with their follow-up record Phantasticus released in 2026.
